    AoPS curriculum enhances school-taught learning at the problem-solving and advanced levels. It is also the foundation of competition math. 

    MA100R is a review class that will revisit the below book and chapters. Additionally, we will implement vigorous material and tests to enhance the curriculum and ensure students are mastering the materials.

    AOPS PreAlgebra A (Sept-December)

    Prealgebra A includes a thorough exploration of the fundamentals of arithmetic, including fractions, exponents, and decimals. We introduce beginning topics in number theory and algebra, including common divisors and multiples, primes and prime factorizations, basic equations and inequalities, and ratios.

    PreAlgebra B (January-June)

    Prealgebra B includes percents, square roots, exploration of geometric tools and strategies, topics of discrete mathematics and statistics, and a discussion of general problem-solving strategies.

    Prealgebra prepares students for the rigors of algebra and also teaches students problem-solving techniques to prepare them for prestigious middle school math contests such as MATHCOUNTS, MOEMS, and the AMC 8.

    Textbook:

    The text is structured to inspire the reader to explore and develop new ideas. Each section starts with problems, giving the student a chance to solve them without help before proceeding. The text then includes solutions and explanations to these problems. Important facts and powerful problem-solving approaches are highlighted throughout the text. In addition to the instructional material, the book contains well over 1000 problems.

    This is 2-week half day camp to review the PreAlgebra core curriculum from Chapter 1-10. This camp is to help students solidify and refine the skills learned in PreAlgebra. Students who finished this camp successfully will be well prepared for the middle school placement test and be ready to take the Algebra 1/AGS 1 class in the new school year.

    This 2-week half-day camp reviews concepts of Pre-Algebra and prepare students for the middle school math placement test in August. Successfully finishing this Pre-Algebra review course will ensure that students are ready to start Algebra 1 or related classes in the Fall semester.
