This is an English reading and vocabulary enhancement class for students who are going to enter 8th/9th grade in the coming Fall term.
This is a direct, systematic, and highly interactive reading comprehension program that teaches students practical strategies to build their reading comprehension while bolstering their vocabulary and academic acumen. The course aligns with SSAT and PSAT 8/9 tests which will be used to measure students’ achievement.
We will use Wordly Wise Book 9/10 with unit tests, The PSAT 8/9 English skills from multiple resources for the class in summer.
Textbooks:
Wordly Wise book 9 - may upgrade to book 10 if book 9 is alredy finished.
