- WVA MathCounts Team Won Championship in 2024 State MathCounts 05-02-2024
For the third consecutive year, the MathCounts Team from Willamette Valley Academy has secured victory at the 2024 MathCounts State Championship!
Our students had an exhilarating Saturday at the state MathCounts competition. Congratulations to John for clinching victory in the countdown round and securing the fifth position statewide! Additionally, congratulations to Joseph for claiming the third spot and Keshav for an impressive second-place finish!
A special shoutout goes to Coach Manny Norse, who will lead Oregon’s team in the national competition. This opportunity arises from the first-place performance of WVA’s team, comprised of Anika, John, Joseph, and Keshav. Well done to all!

Join us at Sunshine Elite for an enriching summer school experience! We're offering 6 weeks of in-person STEM camps and 6 weeks of in-person or online academic advance classes. Our summer program runs from July 8th to August 16th.

Sunshine Elite is delighted to offer spring break camp. The day camps are specially crafted for elementary and middle school students. Mornings are dedicated to explore the academic advance curriculum at Sunshine with Math, Reading and CogAT, while afternoons are filled with a diverse range of engaging activities like Speech and debate, creative writing, coding, Lego Robotics and Chess.

- Sunshine Elite FLL Challenge Team of Lego Robotics Won Top Awards in the Tournament at Intel. Both FTC and FLL Challenge Teams goes to State Competition for the first year. 02-15-2024
This is a summary of Sunshine FLL Challenge Team achievements in the year of 2023. The team got two top awards in the tournament at Intel last December:
1. First place in Robot Design Award
2. First place in Core Values Award
For the first year, both FTC team and FLL Challenge team are eligible for the State Competition after a series of tournaments.

- WVA Eighth Graders Won the National NASA STEM Competition! 01-30-2024
A group of WVA 8th graders were one of 60 teams selected as winners in the national NASA STEM Competition, specifically the Techrise Student Challenge. Kudos to the WVA eighth graders: Joseph Liang, Roushil Satta, Anika Malyavanatham, John Kong, Keshav Karumbunathan (from left to right) and their teacher Mr. Dupuis!
